Feeding South Florida through Partnership

Abbie and Monica Valcave are no strangers to Gateway Community Outreach, http://www.GCOFlorida.org we always look forward to their partnership during our  holiday special touch events.
The holiday season has ended, however, that is not stopping the Valcave’s from volunteering their time and nominating Gateway Community Outreach for two years in a row, to receive 30 boxes of dried non perishable food from Feeding Children Everywhere http://www.feedingchildreneverywhere.org to feed the children here in South Florida. Way to go Abbie and Monica!  Thank you

Our  Start

GCO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation.

Our Mission

To safeguard and protect our most vulnerable community members by providing food, housing assistance, referrals and intensive case management to those in need. of emergency aid.

Problems We Solve

  • We offer compassion and hope during times of personal crisis treating those in need with dignity and respect.
  • We feed the hungry, prevent homelessness and help clients reach self-sufficiency.

How We Help

We assist over 30,854 clients each year with a staff of 4 and nearly 300 volunteers, through our 8 satellite locations to provide food and emergency assistance to prevent homeless through the utilization of grants from donors like you.

Our success is contributed to the utilization of our case management system, consisting of a 90-day plan to connect clients with services and referrals (i.e.) food, bus passes, baby needs, gift cards for clothing, rent/mortgage and water bill assistance.
